Preschool allotment

This year preschool have transformed an area of the school playground into our very own allotment. 

The children have all helped dig, sow and care for our plants and are enjoying watching their seeds grow into plants and hopefully soon, vegetables. 

The children have learnt about the importance of recycling and use their own food waste to help create our own compost. We even used our resident guinea pigs waste to help fertilise our soil.

We are also developing a pond, minibeast hotel and wild flower area to hopefully encourage wildlife and insects into the area too.
